Heidi's Senior Photos

I had a great time this evening spending time with Heidi, shooting her senior photos! She was sooooo easy to photograph and we laughed a lot as I gave random posing directions. I'll have a funny shot to share with you in another post. I'm only 1/2 done editing her pictures. :) Here are some of my favorites so far! Isn't she beautiful? She has striking eyes.

A Pajama Kind of Day

Jude was being so cute this morning as he ate his cereal with his adorable, little boy, disheveled hair. And Selah was in a giggly-squeaky mood that was cracking me up! I think I kissed her a hundred times.
(Don't you love Jude's make-shift bib?)
I don't want to forget mornings like these! Other mornings... I might be ok to forget... like the morning that Jude put Josh's deodorant stick and other things in the toilet AND a bowl of black beans down the air vent. :)
I know these have an orangish indoor tint to them, but it's actually the deceiving combo of the wall color, high chair fabric, and bib... if you care. :)

Here's that joyful boy! Isn't Dutch just the cutest thing ever?! Here are some smiley shots of him, as promised.
(It was great spending time with you, Kari and Jeff!!)

3 months old

My little Selah girl is already 3 months old! And I am crazy about her!
She has such a sweet little personality already. One of her favorite things to do is talk to herself in the mirror. She'll even make herself giggle. :)
But the one thing in life she really doesn't care for is the car seat! Maybe I should put a mirror back there so she can talk to herself! Why didn't I think of this before?

Dutch - 18 months!

One of my favorite parts of photographing babies and children is getting to watch them grow up! I've photographed Dutch at 6 months, 1 year and now for his 18 month mark. He is so consistently sweet, joyful and CUTE! :) And this time I got to see more of the boy he is come out! Throwing rocks, playing with sticks... I love it! Here's a little taste of his serious side. I'll post some smiley ones soon.

Tyler + m + d

These parents obviously adore their little guy! I love the excitement they have for him and how expressive he is when he responds to their lovies! Here are a bunch more from Tyler's recent 6 mo. shoot. :)

New Website Launched!

Yay! The day finally came! I'm so excited to have my new website up. You can check it out here: www.bethanyf.com

Many of you have asked who that is singing on my site and it's my all time favorite - Rita Springer! Her music has been very instrumental in my life - no pun intended! :) I love her lyrics, her passion and her beautiful, beautiful heart! My three favorite albums of hers are All I Have, Created to Worship, & Effortless. www.ritaspringer.com

At a heartbreaking time in my life, when we lost our first baby Melaina, (I was 22 weeks pregnant with her when my water broke and during delivery she went home to be with Jesus) one of Rita's songs was so powerful in bringing healing. The beautiful lyrics are:

Holy, You are still holy
Even when the darkness surrounds my life
Sovereign, You are still sovereign
Even when confusion has blinded my eyes

Lord, I don't deserve Your kind affection
When my unbelief has kept me from Your touch
I want my life to be a pure reflection
Of Your love

And so I come into Your chamber
And I dance at Your feet, Lord
You are my Saviour
And I'm at Your mercy
All that has been in my life
Up 'til now
It belongs to You
You are still holy

Holy, You are still holy
Even though I don't understand Your ways
Sovereign, You will be sovereign
Even when my circumstances don't change

Lord, I don't deserve your tender patience
When my unbelief has kept me from Your truth
I want my life to be a sweet devotion
To You

And so I come into Your chamber
And I dance at Your feet, Lord
You are my Saviour
And I'm at Your mercy
All that has been in my life
Up 'til now
It belongs to You
I belong to You

Tyler - 6 months old

Check out this little cutie! Tyler just turned 6 months old and I loved photographing him and his fun parents. His grandparents came along to get these great smiles out of him too! He's one happy little guy.

I'm a bit backed up in editing this week but I should have lots to post "soon"! :)

Melissa & Dustin

Today I photographed Melissa and Dustin's beautiful country wedding. Melissa is a total sweetheart and she is also one of Josh's cousins. She was such a laid back bride - full of joy on her big day! (I'm only photographing weddings for family this summer due to having a new baby, but I'll be booking weddings again next summer.)
I also had a great time spending the day with Josh's side of our wonderful family... in the crazy 100 degree heat! I actually got heat rash! :) I love my in-laws and extended family so much & enjoy their fun spirits!
Congratulations Melissa & Dustin!

The Inner Me

My husband Josh took this photo yesterday and it really caught me when I was downloading pics off our memory card and deciding which photos I was going to keep from our week or trash. It's a bit blurry, and I usually will just toss blurry shots, but this photo seriously captures who I am! So I had to keep it.

I know that as we mature and become adults most of us mellow out and even some of us that were once serious extroverts may become more introverted.

I often feel that way... that people who I've met in the past 5 or so years probably have no idea just how extroverted I use to be. "What a ham" was a phrase I heard regularly growing up. I was positive I was going to be an actress "someday", and I really thought it would be fun to be like Carol Burnett, she's a crack up! Or I would've loved Elaine's job on Seinfeld. :) Especially to get to dance like her character - hilarious!

I think just a long series of life events has taken me into a more introverted shell and that's ok. It's another phase of life to enjoy and maybe one of these days, SURPRISE, the full of life Bethany will re-emerge and you'll feel like you made a new friend. :) LOL!

Wesley

I love his name, don't you?! Wesley is one adorable one month old. I loved photographing him! He seemed so interested in the camera's click and was so content to just lie there and listen to it. What a sweetie! :)
